Silver Sparrow

(Click here).  Honestly, I can’t believe it’s really happening.  It’s been a long crazy road.  This is the novel that has really shown me what I’m made of.  I composed Leaving Atlanta with the wide-eyes of youth. It was almost like telling myself a bedtime story.  I dreamed up The Untelling still riding high off of the momentum of the first one.  This SILVER SPARROW.. It was like running for my life, though I was actually writing for my life.  There were three times when I was pretty sure that this book would not make it.  But I kept going— and it wasn’t cute.  I wrote it half for art, half to try and understand my own life, half to try and keep my job, and half because my own obsessions won’t let me go.  That’s a lot of halfs.  But she’s here— whole.  Coming to a bookstore near you in May.  And I’ll be hitting the road and will post my tour dates soon.  xoxo
