The poet, Lucille Clifton, and her children. Did she “have it all”? Likely no, for no one does. But I imagine that she had more than most. She had her astounding art. She had her familiy. She had the support of love of her community and the respect of her peers. Rest In Peace, Miss Lucille. We love you and your sterling, inspiring, furious example.
