DEFEND ATLANTA’S CHILDREN.  Shelley Ettinger sent me this photo of a t-shirt from a march on the Pentagon from 19981.  Seeing this meant a lot to me. Because The Atlanta Child Murders has been erased from the national memory, it’s easy to misremember and forget that there were people who cared at the time.  The Atlanta Child Murders was a local issue that became a national issue.  It was a black thing that became an American thing.
 This is our history.
